The Creative Chapter is the nonprofit Stephanie Gonter and I co-founded to bring art to kids and teens in our community — especially those who might not otherwise get it. The book is Stephanie's side of the story; the wings and paintbrushes are mine. Together we run clubs, programs, and events that get young people making things with their hands. Sales from the café help fund the work, and the work keeps growing — including Art Battle, which the Chapter presents in Ormond Beach on December 19 at Ormond Brewing Company. I'm the vice president; Stephanie is the president. Our board also includes Jennifer Idleman, Edward Idleman, and Mike Gonter.

A good commission starts with your space and your idea — I bring thirty-five years of craft to both. Every project below is one-of-a-kind, quoted individually, and handled through The Creative Chapter, our nonprofit, so the paperwork is as clean as the paintwork.

Laser Tag & Immersive Environments

Ultraviolet-reactive worlds for laser tag arenas and escape rooms, painted to glow under blacklight and hold up to crowds. I've painted arenas across the country; each one is designed for its room, its theme, and its players.

Murals

Interior and exterior murals for restaurants, businesses, and homes — from a single accent wall to a full building face. If you have a wall and an idea, I have the ladders.

Portraits

Portraits by commission, including the Christmas-gift portraits that have become a quiet tradition with my clients. Painted from photographs, finished in time to give.

Specialty Finishes

Faux finishes and custom paintwork for garage doors, homes, and high-end businesses — wood grain where there is no wood, stone where there is no stone, and surfaces that make people look twice.

Lettering & Signage

Hand lettering and painted signage for sign companies and businesses that want words with a human hand in them.

Tell me about your project — the space, the idea, and your timeline — and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right painter for it. → Start a commission enquiry (enquiry form) · angel@novelteabookshop.com · 386-317-6820
